Double Silver Laced Barnevelder

If you are looking for a chicken that is easy, laid back and highly productive then this is the absolute no fuss breed for you. These birds lay smooth tan eggs and have an exquisite tight lacing pattern set over glossy feathers.

Crested Cream Legbar

Cream Legbars are medium-sized fowl that are known for their active foraging and ability to survive in a free-range environment. The hens are rarely broody and produce a large number of eggs. These birds also lay a beautiful blue egg.

Black Jersey Giant

The Black Jersey Giant is a big bird - males can weigh in around 13-15 pounds with the females weighing around 11 pounds. The egg laying is not too shabby at 150-200 eggs per year, averaging between 2-4 eggs per week. Eggs are very large and light to medium brown color. 

Black/Lavender Orpington

One great reason to consider Lavender Orpingtons is their eggs. Hens are moderate to heavy layers of large light brown, pink-tinted eggs. Average is about 200 eggs per year which should be plenty for a small family.

Marans are one of a kind in the chicken world, the layers of the famous chocolate eggs! Marans are a favorite breed for their eggs, beautiful colors, and their friendly temperament. 

Seramas

Seramas are tiny. They range in height from just under six inches to slightly under ten inches tall. They have a very upright "V" posture; even their tail feathers are upright. They look permanently alert and "on guard" and so was given the nicknames of "toy soldier" or "fearless warrior".

Paint/Black/Partridge Silkies

A Silkie is the ultimate in kids' chickens. They are cuddly, fluffy and tolerant, love sitting in your lap and even enjoy cuddles. They are very friendly, calm and docile bird and interact very well with people.

Gold Laced Orpington

These are one of those breeds that is just all around beautiful, personable, safe for all ages to handle and hilarious to watch.They are good layers, laying between 150-180 eggs per year and can be broody.

Golden Phoenix

The Golden Phoenix is a single comb, clean legged variety that originated in Germany. The Phoenix is not a cold hardy breed. They require higher perches to accommodate their long tails. They are not considered good egg producers. 

Sphynx (Spitzhauben/Phoenix Project)

These birds are ideally suited to life in the mountains as they are excellent climbers especially on steep, rocky ground and can fly well, often making nests and roosting in trees. They are even known to have stayed in the trees throughout the winter. 

Blue Laced Red Wyandotte

These are beautiful chickens that have a blue laced red color pattern which is buff/red in color with a blue that looks just like grey around the edge of every feather. They are great mothers and consistent layers and they lay an extra large tan/peach egg.

Blue/Black/Splash Langshan

These hens are excellent sitters are they are large enough to cover a dozen eggs at a time and make wonderfully attentive mothers. They are strong, intelligent and active birds and chicks mature fast. They are heavy birds so they don't fly much but are able to get over low fences so boundaries need to be secure.

Blue/Black/White Cochin

Cochins are known the world over for being big friendly balls of fluff and feathers. They don't lay very well but are popular because of their sweet personality and fantastic mothering qualities. 

Golden Laced Polish

Golden Laced Polish chickens feature a beard, a crest of feathers, and visually appealing gold, black, and brown coloring. They have small v-combs, hens lay small white eggs and they do not tend to be broody. They are a favorite breed with children because of their looks and docile personality.
