About Us

We are your favorite local family run farm!

This all started with 6 chickens. Holly was bored one day and decided to bring home 6 chicks. 4 years later we acquired our current home and farm. Now our farm consists of pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, guinea hens, and one one eyed goose “Lucy.” La Bella Vito Farm is located 40 miles East of Sacramento. Our team is headed up by Ed and Holly Clawson and our 3 children. We specialize in beautiful heritage and rare animals. From chickens to Berkshire hogs and fainting goats we are striving to bring back the breeds that were staples on the farms of our grandparents.

Why do we do what we do?

We believe that through every fun colored egg laid and every unique vegetable picked we spark the imagination of adults and children alike. Bright fruit and colored eggs help bring up questions about where our food comes from and the quality of care it has received along the way.

Meet Holly!

They say you can take the girl off the farm but not the farm out of the girl, and Holly is a prime example of that. Having grown up on a 400 acre beef and dairy farm in Northern Utah, as soon as Holly had children she was longing to get back to that farm life. In addition to being the head chicken wrangler, she is the one who does all of our customer service. If you write to us with a question or place an order, she is the one you are speaking with.. Holly, with our daughter Isabella also teaches our beginner & advanced chicken keeping classes . She manages the holistic health of our flocks and organizes the shipments

Meet Ed!

Everyday there is something on the farm that needs fixing, tinkering and improving. Ed is always looking for ways to streamline our infrastructure and make things run efficiently as possible. He’s also in charge of raising our pigs.
